About

When you create a sandbox, Salesforce copies the metadata from your production org to a sandbox org. What data gets copied depends on the Sandbox type. Learn more about Sandbox Environments.

Sandbox Types

Recommendation: "Partial Copy".

Salesforce provide different types of Sandbox environment. We recommends using a "Partial Copy" as it will include your production orgs configuration (metadata) and a sample of your production orgs data as defined by a sandbox template. As Precursive uses some data for defining settings (e.g. Resources and Roles) these can be time-consuming to recreate in a metadata-only Sandbox. Learn more about Sandbox Types.

Sandbox Template

Sandbox templates allow you to pick specific objects and data to copy to your Full or Partial Copy sandbox to control the size and content of each sandbox. Sandbox templates are only available for use with Full or Partial Copy sandboxes. Learn more about Sandbox Templates .

Objects to include in your Sandbox Template:

⚠️ If your solution uses any additional Custom Objects that are linked to Precursive be sure to include those too.
