Occasionally projects go from simple to complex, if you need to add more complexity to your existing project, or create one with multiple stages from scratch - Precursive makes it easy.

How to add Phases to a Project

• Open your chosen Project
• Select 'New Phase'
• Choose a Phase name (required), you can also specify start and end date, and include a description of this piece of work
• Define a start and end date, ❗if you do not enter an end date, it will create an "Infinity Phase" ❗
• By switching on the 'Public' button, you make it easy for all users to see this phase and add it to their timesheets
• Click 'Save'

Once your phase is created you will be taken to the Phase page where you can add more details related to this phase of work.

Tip: The phase page, as well as the Project page, contains budget details tab - it’s going to look empty unless you assign resources, add expense categories etc. This can be done both at the project and phase level.

How to edit Phase details

• Navigate to your chosen project
• Click on the relevant phase
• When in ‘Phase Details’ scroll down and click ‘Edit’
• Here you can add or change start and end date of the phase, status, revenue or budget, you can also assign a rate card for this phase of your project
• Once you’re done editing, click ‘Save’

Tip: The revenue and budget you enter on the phase details page will be reflected on the budget information page of the entire project.
