Precursive is available to install from the Salesforce AppExchange.

About

If you are a Salesforce Administrator, you can install Precursive in your Salesforce Production or a Sandbox if you prefer to test it first or start a trial in a test environment. Once you have completed the installation, you will give access to Precursive by assigning a License and a Precursive Permission Set to your users.

To make sure you have the necessary access, check who can install and configure Precursive. To see the guide on how to install Salesforce Packages, please visit Download AppExchange Packages.

How to Install Precursive

1. Go to our page on the AppExchange  and click Get it Now.

2. Log in with your Salesforce credentials.

3. You will be prompted to select whether you want to Install in Production or Install in Sandbox*. 

4. Click Confirm and Install.

5.  Select Install for Admins Only.

6. After Precursive is installed, find Precursive PSX in the Installed Packages section of the Salesforce Setup and select Manage Licenses to assign a Precursive License to each user who will be participating in the trial.

7. Next, select an appropriate Precursive Permission Set as there are different levels of access to Precursive.

 

Activate Resources

During installation your Active Users will be created as Resources in Precursive. Navigate to Precursive HQ and activate your resources by setting up the ‘Schedule Resource’ flag against each Resource.

TIP: You can do it in a bulk by using the inline edit.

Create Roles

Before you can start using Precursive you will need to create Roles. In Precursive, Roles help you not only identify a certain set of skills in your organizations but also support the resourcing process as Resource Requests are created based on the demanded Roles. Roles also help you in assigning role based rates and costs to your project. Here you will details on how to Set up Roles

Enable Approvals

Should you choose to use Approvals for Timesheets, Holiday or Expenses you will need to enable the out of the box approval processes for your business. Learn more About Approvals and Approvals Configuration.
