Contributor Reassignment via Magic Assign

Highlights

Reassigning a Resource on a Project Task is now faster and simpler - replace a Contributor directly from the Manage Contributor modal without having to manually deactivate and recreate them.

What Changed

A reassign icon button now appears inline on each active Contributor row in the Manage Contributor modal (Task Resourcing Mode only). Clicking it opens Magic Assign pre-filtered by the Contributor's Role and the specific Project Task. On confirmation, the original Contributor is automatically deleted or marked Inactive depending on whether Actual Hours have been logged - reusing the existing Magic Assign replacement logic. The modal refreshes automatically after Magic Assign closes.

How It Works

1. Open the Manage Contributor modal on a Project Task (Task Resourcing Mode Phases only)
2. Find the Contributor row you want to replace and click the reassign icon (circular refresh icon) on the right side of the row
3. Magic Assign opens, pre-filtered by the Contributor's Role and the task - select a replacement Resource
4. Confirm the assignment - the original Contributor is deleted or made Inactive automatically
5. The Manage Contributor modal refreshes to show the updated Contributor list

Drag-and-Drop Task Structuring on Gantt

Highlights

Drag and drop Project Tasks on the Gantt to build and reorganise your work breakdown structure - indent, outdent, and nest Project Tasks without leaving the view.

What Changed

The Gantt now supports drag-and-drop reordering and restructuring of Project Tasks. Users can drag a Project Task to a new position to make it a top-level Task, a Subtask within an existing structure, or move an entire Task group (Parent and its Subtasks) together. Indenting and outdenting Tasks via drag-and-drop mirrors the behaviour of changing the Parent field on the task record page - all existing validations apply.

How It Works

1. Open the Gantt view on a Phase
2. Drag any Task row to a new position in the list
3. Drop it at the top level to make it a standalone Task, or drop it beneath another Task to nest it as a Subtask
4. Dragging a Parent Task moves all of its Subtasks with it
5. If the structure change is not permitted (e.g. exceeds depth limits or violates a dependency), an error toast is displayed

Delete Project Tasks from Gantt, Kanban, and Task Planner

Highlights

Delete Project Tasks directly from the Gantt, Kanban, Task Planner, and task record page - no more navigating away to remove a Task.

What Changed

A new custom Delete component has been introduced for Project Tasks. Task Owners can now delete Tasks directly from the context menu in the Gantt, Kanban, and Task Planner views, as well as from the Task record page. A confirmation modal appears before deletion. If deletion is not permitted (e.g. Actual Hours have been logged against the Task or its Subtasks), a clear error message is shown explaining why.

How It Works

1. Open the context menu on any Project Task in the Gantt, Kanban, or Task Planner
2. Select Delete from the context menu (displayed in red at the bottom)
3. Confirm deletion in the modal that appears
4. If deletion is blocked, a toast notification explains the reason

Phase Resourcing Mode Switching

Highlights

Phases can now be switched between Task and Booking resourcing modes even when Timesheets have been Submitted or Actual Hours have been logged - removing a restriction that was blocking legitimate workflow changes.

What Changed

Previously, changing a Phase's resourcing mode was blocked if any Timesheet line items existed with a Submitted, Approved, or Rejected status, or if any Timesheet Entries had actual hours logged. These restrictions have been removed. Existing Actual Hours and Submitted Planned Hours are preserved during the mode change - the batch jobs that handle recalculation only affect entries in Planned or Resource Request status.

How It Works

• Switch a Phase between Task Resourcing Mode and Booking Resourcing Mode from the Phase record as normal
• The mode change is no longer blocked by existing Timesheet data
• Existing Actual Hours and approved Timesheet records are not affected by the switch
