Required Upgrade Step

This step is required for every org upgrading to 2.23.

After upgrading, go to Precursive HQ > Critical Upgrades and manually trigger the "Create missing picklist values on Resource and User object" tile. This creates the new Customer license type picklist value on the User object. The automated post-install process does not always complete this successfully, so this step should not be skipped or assumed done.

Task Planner - Expanded Resources and Filtering

Highlights

See and filter a wider set of Resources in Task Planner, so Project Managers and Consulting Managers can manage workloads and assignments across full teams at once.

What Changed

Task Planner now queries Participant records rather than being limited to a user's directly-assigned Resources, giving a fuller view of who is working across a Project. Filtering and grouping by Resource attributes lets Project Managers and Consulting Managers narrow that view to what's relevant.

How It Works

• On first open from the Primary Tab, Task Planner still defaults to showing only your own Resource.
• Use the filter pane to expand the view to additional Participants across a Project or Phase.
• Group and filter by Resource attributes to focus on specific teams or workload segments.

Inline Task Creation on Gantt

Highlights

Add new Tasks directly inline on the Gantt, without leaving the view or opening a modal.

What Changed

Tasks can now be created inline directly on the Gantt. Drag-and-drop structuring, indenting, and inline dependency editing were already available, this adds the ability to add a new Task the same way.

SLDS 2 (Cosmos) Compatibility

Highlights

Precursive components are tested and aligned with Salesforce's new Cosmos (SLDS 2) design system, working out of the box once it's enabled.

What Changed

Precursive components have been tested against and aligned with Salesforce's Cosmos (SLDS 2) design system. Precursive's current look and feel is unchanged for orgs that haven't enabled it.

How It Works

Once an org enables Cosmos (SLDS 2), Precursive components work out of the box, no separate action needed.

Enablement Guidance

If the decision is made to enable Cosmos (SLDS 2), Precursive works out of the box once it's on. We don't recommend enabling Cosmos on Precursive's behalf, it's a broader Salesforce-level decision that can affect other packages, processes, and Experience Cloud setups unrelated to Precursive. Evaluate it on its own merits, independent of any Precursive requirement.

What Else Changed

• Gantt, Kanban, and Task List now adapt to each user's field-level security settings, rendering correctly instead of failing to load when access to certain Project Task fields is restricted.
• The invoice creation flow no longer pulls in timesheet entries or activities that have not been approved.
• Holiday Requests now save Hours Per Day with the correct decimal value instead of rounding down.
• The Task List Path now responds correctly to the first click after loading.
• License usage reporting now includes Customer Workspace Users and more accurately identifies Partner Users who hold a Precursive license.
• Utilization calculations now correctly exclude leave hours from Actual Hours when a Leave Time Code has Deduct from Availability enabled.
• Fixed a rendering error on the Kanban board, including in Customer Workspace, when navigating away from and back to a view containing a completed task.
• Task category colours on Task Planner cards now update immediately after a task is rescheduled.
• Task Planner filters no longer drop tasks from a second selected phase when filtering across multiple projects.
• Tasks in Task Planner no longer visually overlap after being moved, positions now update correctly without requiring a page refresh.
• Removed a validation rule that required a Resource's Precursive License Type Assigned to stay set to "Partner" once a Contact and User were linked, so changing the license type on those Resources is no longer blocked.
