An Overview of Precursive Customer Workspace
What is Precursive Customer Workspace?
Customer Workspace is a way to share Boards with Customers where they can collaborate and contribute. Customer Workspace is built on Salesforce Experience Cloud (Formerly Community Cloud).
The Customer Workspace extends the Contact Roles functionality in Precursive OBX to allow users to add Contacts to Boards and then invite them to the Customer Workspace. When inviting the Contact to the Workspace Precursive will manage the provisioning of a Community License and necessary Permissions.
From the Customer Workspace, your Customers can see Boards that they are assigned to with all Tasks that are accessible for them. Contacts will be able to review Boards’ and Tasks’ details including attachments, Board Team Members, Task Contributors and communicate through Feed.
The Customer Workspace functionality in Precursive is made up of functionality in the core app for enabling a Customer Workspace and Inviting Contacts to the Workspace as well as a Customer Workspace Template called the Customer Onboarding Workspace.
How to get Precursive Customer Workspace?
Access to Precursive Customer Workspace features requires a Salesforce Community License and a Precursive Community License.
If you have existing Salesforce Community Licenses then you can order Precursive Community Licenses only. If you do not have existing Salesforce Community Licenses then you can order Precursive Embedded Community License where Precursive will provision the “Salesforce Community License” and the “Precursive Community License”. Please reach out to your CSM or email customersuccess@precursive.co.uk for more information.
Once you have purchased the needed licenses, you can follow the steps below to prepare your Org and configure your Customer Workspace.
Org preparation
The first step is to enable Experience Cloud (previously known as Community) on the Salesforce Org. Some of you may already use Experience Cloud so not all steps from the article linked below are necessary however, it might be worth it to make sure that configuration is supporting Customer Workspace.
For those of you who never configured Experience Cloud following the steps from the article linked below is essential to make it work.
Once Experience Cloud is configured, now it’s time to make sure that our OBX Application is prepared. Most of these steps need to be done on OBX Application Settings, for more details find out How to configure OBX to work with Customer Workspace?
