About
In Precursive Connect Platform (where you have Boards linked with Projects and Phases), you can log time either on the Tasks on your Boards, or directly on your timesheet.
Whether this synchronization setup, depends on what version or Precursive you are running:
- From version 1.15 onwards, that is a two-way synchronization and you can log your time either on your Tasks or your timesheet and the other will be automatically updated
- In previous versions this synch is only one way: from Tasks to Timesheet. Therefore, if you log time on your timesheets, that won't be automatically added to your Tasks.
Synch Considerations
From version 1.15 onwards, the time that you log against Precursive Tasks is not only synchronized from your Time logs on Tasks onto the Timesheet but also from your Timesheet back to your Time Logs on Tasks. That means that:
- Whenever you miss logging your time against a task, you will still be able to do it from your timesheet before you submit it.
- Whenever you add or increase the time logged in your Timesheet, Precursive will add an additional Time Log against the Task with the difference in the amount of time between the current and previous time amount.
- When you edit the time in your timesheet so that the time amount decreases, Precursive will add a negative Time Log into the related Task so that the summary for the day is equal to the one from the Timesheet.
Note - If you have overrriden your time logs data on your current timesheets before the upgrade to Precursive Platform Winter '22 ( version 1.15) and then edit it after the upgrade, these entries will not synchronize back to Time Logs. All Timesheet Entries that were not overriden from the Timesheet page will synchronize accordingly to your edits.
