What You Need

• License: Customer Community or Customer Community Login, assigned via Salesforce Experience Cloud.
• Permission Set: Precursive Customer Workspace Minimum Access (Precursive-managed, grants the field and object access needed for Gantt, Kanban, and Task List to render).
• Profile: Customer Community Workspace - shipped as-is by Precursive as part of the community metadata, the same way Partner Workspace ships its own profile (Partner Community Workspace). You do not need to clone or rename it. The Precursive branding you will see is on the permission set group (Precursive Customer Workspace User), not on the profile itself.

Step-by-Step

1. Confirm the customer's Account has an Experience Cloud site enabled with the Customer Workspace license type available.
2. Create or identify the Contact record for the person who needs access - this Contact is the identity anchor. No Resource record is created or required for a Customer Workspace user.
3. Enable the Contact as a Customer User, assigning the Customer Community or Customer Community Login license and the appropriate profile.
4. Assign the Precursive Customer Workspace Minimum Access permission set (plus any additional field access needed - see the Field & Permission Reference article).
5. Add the Contact as a Participant on the relevant Project or Phase. Sharing Sets tied to the Contact's Account, not Project Access Levels, control what the user sees.
6. Mark the relevant Tasks, Phases, or records as "Shared with Customer" so they appear in the portal - unmarked records stay hidden regardless of the user's access.
7. Confirm the Customer Workspace site URL is set under Precursive HQ > Sharing.
