(OBX) Delete a Precursive Board

Precursive Boards can be Archived or Deleted. This article shows how to delete a Precursive Board.

Precursive Board can be archived if they are not longer in use or they can be completely deleted if they were created by mistake or for testing purposes.
Note - If you want to be able to report on historical data associated with a board that is no longer in use, make sure you archive the board instead of deleting it.
  • Once a board is deleted, all related Tasks are also deleted. 
  • Only the Board Owner can delete a Precursive Board.
  • Board cannot be deleted from the Precursive OBX tab.

How to Delete a Precursive Board

The Board Owner can delete a board from: the Board Record, the Precursive Boards Tab and the Related Section or a board Related Record, such as the Account or Opportunity Page. 

Delete a Board Record

Find and open the Board record in Salesforce. Click Delete. The option may be within a dropdown action on the page or an action button on the top of the page.
Note - If the Delete option does not appear, it means that you do not have the necessary permissions to delete the record. Contact your Salesforce Admin for more information.board record.png

Delete a Board from the Precursive Boards Tab 

Find the Board in the Precursive Boards tab. Click Delete from the List View actions next to the board you wish to delete.
Note - If you can't see the Board in the Recently Viewed List View, you can either select a different List View or use the Global Search to find the Board.
Boards tab.png Open the record related to the board you wish to delete (such as the Account or Opportunity related to the board).
Find the board in the Related Section - that could be a tab within the page or a Lightning component on the side of the page. Then select Delete in the dropdown action related to the Precursive Board.Opp.png
