This guide will help you install and set up Precursive OBX in your Salesforce Org.

Precursive OBX is 100% native to the Salesforce Platform and every feature is supported in Lightning Experience. Precursive OBX works the same way in both Salesforce Classic and Lightning.

Who does what?

• Salesforce Administrators install and configure Precursive OBX

• “Precursive OBXAdmin Users” create and Manage Precursive OBX Templates

• “Precursive OBX Standard Users” (business users) use Precursive OBX regularly as part of their work

Installation and Setup:

Before installing Precursive OBX, please read our System Requirements.

User Permissions Needed
To install packages:	Download AppExchange Packages

1. Install Precursive OBX in a Sandbox or Production environment. We recommend installing any AppExchange package in a Sandbox first.

2. Grant Precursive OBX access to users:

   1. After you install Precursive OBX, assign a Precursive OBX License to anyone who should have access to Precursive OBX;

   2. Those users also require the appropriate Precursive OBX Permission Set in order to see and work with Precursive OBX objects in Salesforce.

   3. There are different levels of access. Learn the different types of License and Permission Sets available with Precursive OBX.

Optional Configuration Steps:

Out of the box, Precursive OBX is related to Salesforce Accounts and Opportunities.

To view a list of Account and Opportunity-related Boards and Tasks:

1. Add Precursive OBX Related Lists to Account and Opportunity Page Layouts.
2. Manage Boards from Account and Opportunity records in Lightning or in Classic.

It’s a quick drag-and-drop job a Salesforce Admin can do in 5 minutes or less.

External Sharing

Configure External Sharing. This is one of our most sought-after features and allows Precursive OBX users to seamlessly share a Precursive OBX Board with anyone outside of Salesforce, giving viewers a real-time, read-only perspective of the project.

1. To use this feature, configure External Sharing for your Org first.

2. Once enabled, Precursive OBX users can share boards that contain a public link and also use the Calendar Sync feature to view their tasks in external calendar applications such as Google Calendar, Apple, Outlook, etc.

Customizing Precursive OBX:

Precursive OBX is the ideal solution for Customer Onboarding and also highly customizable. You can relate Precursive OBX to other Standard and custom objects, create custom fields, color-coded categories, labels, and even assign people to tasks automatically.
