Verify Your Current Precursive Version
Before upgrading to the latest version, it’s important to verify your current Precursive version. This will help you determine any necessary manual steps required during the upgrade process.
To check your current version:
- Navigate to Salesforce Setup:
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select “Setup.”
- Search for Installed Packages:
- In the Quick Find box on the left, type “Installed Packages” and select it from the results.
- Locate Precursive:
- In the Installed Packages list, look for “Precursive.”
- The version number will be listed next to the package name under the “Version Number” column.
Recommended Process for Upgrading Precursive
Please coordinate with your Salesforce Admin to run the upgrade. You’ll need to
Contact Precursive Support to obtain the upgrade URL.
- Verify Your Current Version:
- Before starting the upgrade, ensure you have verified your current Precursive version. This step is crucial for identifying any manual actions that may be required during the upgrade process.
- Obtain Upgrade URLs:
- Contact Precursive Support to obtain the necessary upgrade URLs. You will receive one URL for upgrading your Sandbox environment and another for your Production environment.
- Upgrade Your Sandbox:
- Setup a Sandbox. See How to Set up a Sandbox
- Use the Sandbox upgrade URL provided by Precursive Support.
- Follow the URL and, when prompted, select “Install for Admins Only.”
- Click “Upgrade” to begin the installation.
- Wait for Installation:
- The installation process may take some time, ranging from a few minutes to up to 30 minutes. Be patient as the upgrade completes.
- Verify the Upgrade:
- Once the installation is complete, double-check if the package has been upgraded by following the steps in the “Verify Your Current Precursive Version” section.
- Complete all required manual steps (described in Release Note)
- Confirm Sandbox works as expected.
- Repeat the process for Production
