Precursive comes with a set of out-of-the box Reports & Dashboards. We always recommend checking the Precursive Boards - Reports & Dashboards first to see if there is a report that you can edit to meet your business requirements. If not, you can use Precursive Report Types to build your own reports. Let's see an example here.
 
Scenario: The VP of Professional Services wants to report on the total time spent working on project by each team member.
Business Question: How much time is each individual spending (or logging) on each project this FQ?

The 'Precursive Tasks' report type gives us good insight and allows us to see the total time logged against tasks, as you can see in the Tutorial: Reporting on Total Time Spent on Precursive Boards - Estimated VS Actual. However, it doesn’t focus on who specifically logged time, just the fact that time was logged on a task. To answer the question above, we can use the 'Precursive Tasks with Time' report type. Let's see how!

Building your Report

Navigate to the 'Reports' tab, click 'New Report' and select the 'Precursive Tasks with Time' report type to start building your report. Then follow the instructions below:

1. Set Filters:

• All Precursive Tasks
• Date Recorded (Time): Current FQ

2. Add the following Columns:

• User: Full Name (Time)
• Name (Name of the Task)
• Time Spent (Hours) (Time)
• Date Recorded

3. Group Rows by 'Date Recorded' AND 'User: Full Name'
4. Group Date Recorded by Calendar Week or Calendar Month 5. Hide Row Counts and Detail Rows
