1. A Precursive PSX/RCO Permission Set Group - their assigned PS Group defines what Precursive objects and fields hey can see and edit and it determines what License Type they get assigned. Please see Precursive PSX License Types & Permission Set Groups to learn more.
2. A Precursive Package License - please follow the instructions below to complete this step.

Package licenses are different from a License Type..and from Permission Sets. You can think of permissions as locks and of licenses as rings of keys. For them to use their Permissions Sets, they must have a license, which is the key that unlocks that permission. Don't worry too much about these differences though, this assignment is all automated for you! As long as you follow the steps below, you don't have to think too much about what happens in the background and what unlocks what: in the Precursive HQ there is a component that runs this process for you.

Note - in order to assign users Precursive Package Licenses, you will need to have the following permission yourself. That is usually the case for a Salesforce Administrator.

How to Assign PSX/RCO Package Licenses

Make sure you follow the steps below after assigning users Precursive Permission Set Groups and running License Utilization.

After that, here's what you need to do to assign users with Precursive Permissions a Package License:

1. Navigate to the Precursive HQ
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you can find the 'Package Licences Assignment to Users' component
3. Click 'Run Now'

 
That assigns a Package Licenses to all the users with Precursive Permissions already assigned and you receive and an email with the full breakdown of your license types and license package assignments! Pretty good, ey?

Note - To free up a Package License, in case a User leaves or no longer needs access to Precursive, you can remove any Precursive Permission groups assigned to them and Auditing License Type Assignments (PSX).

You can run the calculations on these HQ components every time you want to check your assignments. Just remember:

1. Run the 'License Utilization' 
2. Run the 'Licences Assignment to Precursive Users'

Manually running these checks and assignment is particularly as your renewal approaches to make sure you don't incur in extra-charges due to mis-assigning your license types or over-using your package licenses.
